  • Produced an 8-episode series exploring incarceration, masculinity, and Asian American identity.

  • Managed cross-team communications, audience research, and trauma-informed interviewing in Vietnamese. 

  • Ensured narrative alignment with cultural context and community-driven insights.

Producer, Snap Judgment, 2021-2023

  • Produced long-form narrative stories for over 2.5 million listeners on 460+ NPR stations.

  • Completed stories from beginning to end included: sourced pitches and contacts, booked, interviewed,

    reported, edited audio, scripted, narration, worked with freelancers, and editorial.

  • Peer-reviewed over 24 producer and freelancer stories including line edits and structural notes.

  • Co-created a data-informed audience tracker to identify engagement patterns and underrepresentation.

  • Managed freelancers, voice talent, and cross-department workflows for collaborative production.

Producer, Snap Judgment Presents: Spooked, 2019-2021

  • Produced 23 long-form narrative stories for Spooked, which topped the Apple Arts Podcast chart.

  • Executed stories: pitched, scheduled, interviewed, reported, edited, scripted, narrated and QCed.

  • Facilitated conversations with listeners across social platforms, integrating their stories into the show.

  • Transformed show format by creation of serialized episodes and included stories with multiple talkers.

  • Envisioned and executed a cohesive season; the bulk of stories featured Hawaiian storytellers.

  • Guided and supported co-workers, freelancers and sound designers with their aspirations and growth.

Reporter, City Bureau, 2018-2019

  • Designed and executed a participatory journalism project in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood, engaging
    30+ residents across libraries, trains, and community centers.

  • Worked alongside residents to identify and write stories that reflected their lived experiences.

  • Collaborated with WBEZ: produced and reported a listener-driven story about election loopholes.

Investigative Reporting Fellow, Invisible Institute, 2018-2019

  • Produced, reported and collaborated on a seven-part investigative podcast called Somebody:

    conducted interviews, edited audio, shaped individual episodes and the season’s arch.

  • Investigated the unfolding story: door knocked, created timelines and cross checked narratives.

  • Reported an investigation on the Chicago Police Department’s involvement with El Salvador police.

  • Researched public records for The Police Torture Archive, a resource used in public schools.

Producer, Kaleidoscope, 2018-2019

  • Produced narrative and chat-style episodes on intersection of race, religion and lgbtqia+ community.

  • Curated guests, interview questions, episode content and direction for series.

Story Editor and Producer, Freelance, 2016–Present

  • Edited queer elders oral history project that featured LGBTQ+ activists of color.

  • Documented Chicago public meetings and forums to promote transparency and accountability.

  • Produced a story on #NoCopAcademy and documented Chicago City Hall meetings for City Bureau.

  • Logged tape and provided tape syncs for orgs including Planet Money, Latino USA, and Vox.

Making Oprah Intern, WBEZ, 2016

  • Created and organized the 30 hour Making Oprah archive for a critically acclaimed documentary series.

  • Spearheaded production on a bonus episode about Oprah’s hair and featured her legendary hair stylist.

  • Interviewed previous Oprah employees and construction workers at Harpo Studios demolition site.

Nerdette Intern, WBEZ, 2016

  • Produced 8 episodes and 14 promos about enthusiasts including creatives, scientists, mathematicians, etc.

  • Recorded and coached hosts through interviews and tracking as with coordinated bookings and ISDNs. 

  • Developed and produced a Nerdette game show segment about monsters and literature.

  • Sought out and conducted pre-interviews and interviews for the Arts and Culture Unit and newsroom.

  • Produced an podcast episode that highlighted local events.
